HEAD of the Research Sector
The Research Sector (RS) is a structural subdivision of the STC «STU-ENGINEERING» responsible for conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of science and technology. The RS focuses on the development of innovative solutions, modeling of systems and processes, planning and implementation of experiments, as well as data processing to achieve scientific and technological breakthroughs. The RS covers the full cycle of scientific research works: from planning and modeling to analysis of results and implementation of grant projects. The RS promotes the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical testing, including the creation of specialized equipment, and ensures the implementation of projects financed by grants in order to promote scientific progress and apply the results in industry.
Main functions of the RS:
- Execution of scientific-research works: organization and conduct of comprehensive research, including theoretical and experimental stages, for the study of systems, processes, and materials within the priority areas of the scientific and technical center;
- Development of mathematical models for the systems and processes under study: creation and optimization of mathematical models that allow simulating the behavior of complex systems, predicting results, and analyzing scenarios in various scientific and technical contexts;
- Development of experiment programs for experimental research and pilot-industrial tests: design of detailed programs and methods for conducting experiments, including the determination of parameters, stages, and evaluation criteria, to ensure the reliability and reproducibility of results in laboratory and industrial conditions;
- Development of testing stands and pilot-industrial installations for experimental research: design and assembly of specialized equipment, stands, and installations adapted for testing hypotheses, materials, or technologies, taking into account safety requirements and measurement accuracy;
- Processing and analysis of the results of experimental research: collection, statistical processing, and interpretation of data obtained during experiments using modern analysis methods to identify patterns, conclusions, and recommendations for further developments;
- Implementation of grant-funded projects for scientific and (or) scientific-technical projects: preparation of applications, coordination, and implementation of projects financed by grants from state, international, or private funds, including reporting and integration of results.
