Andreashchenko VIOLETTA Alexandrovna,

HEAD of Testing Laboratories,

Professor in the scientific field of Materials Engineering,

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology

The Testing Laboratories (TL) are structural subdivisions of the university that interact with the STC “STU-ENGINEERING” and carry out certified and experimental studies of materials, substances, and products to assess their physico-chemical, mechanical, and operational properties. The activities of the testing laboratories are carried out on accredited equipment in accordance with national and international standards.

Main functions of the TL:

- пconduct of physico-chemical studies of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products for enterprises of various industries (metallurgical, machine-building, construction, etc.);

- performance of metallographic studies of the structure and properties of metals and alloys to determine their quality, defectiveness, and compliance with standard requirements;

- conduct of laboratory and experimental tests of new materials, structures, and technologies on accredited equipment;

- development and testing of testing and analysis methodologies adapted to the tasks of the industrial and scientific sector;

- preparation of expert opinions and test protocols recognized by authorized certification bodies;

- participation in scientific research projects of the STC by providing a laboratory base for applied and fundamental developments.
